Giclée (pronounced "zhee-clay"), is the name given to the process of making fine art prints
from a digital source using ink-jet printing
The name was coined from the French words le gicleur (nozzle) and gicler (to squirt, spurt, or spray) to distinguish
the digital process from the earlier method known as 'Iris proofs', which were used for developing fine art prints on similar types of printers
Giclées are widely accepted at museums and galleries. Many museums in the US and Europe have either mounted exhibitions of giclée prints or purchased prints for their permanent collections.
I have selected just a few paintings to reproduce in this way. Shown on this page. There is a maximum number of prints set for each painting, and they are only printed as required. Each one is signed and numbered on the back.
To order, please contact me and one will be sent, usually within two to three weeks
Giclées are also available printed onto canvas and rolled for convenience of sending overseas.
