Lake Tasman is one of the few freshwater lakes in the world with icebergs, which break off from the Tasman Glacier coming down the flanks of Aorkai/Mount Cook
When on the lake, amongst the icebergs there is a sense of surreal stillness
With towering mountains all around, strange ice sculptures littering a moraine-coloured lake and no sign of bird or animal life, one has the feeling of being on another planet
