Beautiful Kaiteriteri Beach with its golden sands and azure coloured sea is a mecca for thousands of holiday-makers and day visitors from nearby Nelson over the summer months.
Safe family swimming and safe anchorage for small pleasure craft contribute to hours of happy relaxing.
I prefer to paint the beach in its more serene moods at off season times, minimising the intrusion of man on such a beautiful place.
Little Kaiteriteri is in the upper right of the painting, Tasman Bay is beyond Kaiteriteri, and on the horizon are the hills behind Nelson.
